Mainly fine today. Cloud and isolated light showers developing this evening.
Gisborne and Hawke's Bay
Morning and evening cloud, and the odd light shower in Gisborne, otherwise fine.
Auckland to Wellington, including the central high country, and Wairarapa
Mostly fine. Areas of morning low cloud or fog.
Nelson, Marlborough, Canterbury, Otago and Southland
Fine for most. Patchy low cloud or fog this morning. Becoming cloudy in Nelson this evening.
Buller to Westland
Partly cloudy. A few showers developing this evening.
Fiordland
Mostly cloudy with a few showers.
Chatham Islands
Cloudy periods, with the chance of a shower this afternoon or evening.

Sunday
North Island: Mainly fine in the east, cloudy periods elsewhere with isolated showers.
South Island: Showers in the west, turning to rain with some heavy falls later. Scattered showers developing elsewhere later, but mainly dry from Christchurch to eastern Marlborough.
Monday
North Island: Rain developing in the southwest early, then spreading elsewhere.
South Island: Rain in the north, with some heavy falls, easing or clearing later. Showers in Westland and Fiordland easing late. Scattered showers elsewhere clearing late.
Tuesday
North Island: Rain easing to scattered showers, and clearing in Hawke's Bay and Wairarapa later.
South Island: A few showers developing in the north. Showers in the west, turning to rain later. Mainly fine elsewhere.
Chatham Islands
Cloudy periods. A few showers developing on Monday, turning to rain early Tuesday. Northwesterlies becoming strong Sunday evening, then easing on Tuesday.
