The Situation

A front becomes slow moving over the North Island today, then moves away to the northeast on Thursday, while a trough affects the far South Island into Friday. A northwest flow strengthens during Saturday ahead of another trough deepening in the Tasman Sea, this trough is expected to move over the country on Sunday.
