The Situation
A ridge of high pressure covers the North Island, as a weak front moves up the South Island today, and another ridge builds behind it. The front moves back down across the South Island tomorrow.On Sunday the ridge persists over the North Island but an active front moves northeast over the south of the South Island. The front weakens over the upper South Island on Monday and weakens on Tuesday. Meanwhile a ridge of high pressure covers the rest of New Zealand.
