The Situation

Unsettled westerlies with several embedded fronts affect New Zealand today. A ridge of high pressure spreads over the North Island during Sunday and the rest of the country on Monday. By Tuesday, a low approaches the North Island from the northwest while the ridge moves onto the South Island.
