The Situation

A large, complex low with several embedded fronts and troughs affects New Zealand today and tomorrow.A large, complex low lies over the country, gradually shifting east over the period. On Wednesday the low drifts eastward enough to allow a ridge of high pressure to move onto the southern South Island. On Thursday, the ridge expands to cover most of the country.
