The Situation
A number of weak fronts move off the North Island today followed by a narrow ridge. An active front moves onto the west of the South Island tomorrow, associated with a deep low in the Southern Tasman Sea.On Saturday, the active front moves onto the North Island, while the low pressure system over the Tasman Sea starts to move onto the South Island. This large and complex low pressure system covers most of the country on Sunday and Monday.
