The Situation

Northerlies build today ahead of a low approaching from the Tasman Sea, which moves up New Zealand on Thursday, followed by a strong southerly change. The low moves over the North Island on Friday, while a narrow ridge builds in behind. A cold front moves north across the country on Saturday.
